Why Social Media Marketing? It Amplifies Your Brand

I was listening to a guitarist play some beautiful classical Spanish music on his acoustic guitar and I was in awe. The music was beautiful. But since he was unamplified and in a noisy, crowded room, I couldn’t hear him more than 10 feet away. Had he equipped his guitar with an amplifier, his beautiful music would have traveled to all four corners of the restaurant and we all would have heard him more clearly.

The same can be said for social media marketing. Think of your website as your guitar and think of social media marketing as your amplifier. Social media marketing allows your business to be heard more clearly in a crowded field of competitors.

But social media marketing is scary to a lot of people, right? A few of our clients have shared that they’re so happy we are managing their social media, their monthly blogs, and their customer reviews for them. Why? Because it frees up their time so they can focus on their business.

Plus, those same clients are asking about all the Facebook changes and what’s going on with social media marketing.

  • Is it worth the time and investment?
  • Are Facebook ads worth doing?
  • What’s the ROI?
  • How frequently should I post?

Here are my answers:

  • Yes, social media marketing is definitely worth your time and investment, including the ads. Social media marketing platforms have a larger audience than television networks. Facebook alone has over 1 Billion viewers worldwide!
  • Social media marketing also surpasses the readership of newspapers and magazines. So yes, putting your advertising dollars towards Facebook and Instagram video ads will attract far more eyeballs than print advertising at a lower cost.
  • Social media platforms have metrics and insights that allow you to track your views, likes, and conversions, which is far more data than TV, radio, and other traditional networks provide. This data helps prove your Return On Investment.
  • If you post at least twice per week on all your social media platforms, you should be in good shape.
  • But make sure that your posts are not generic. They must reflect your company’s “voice”, your “why”, the vehicles you service, and the culture of your business.
  • Just say “No” to cookie-cutter posts (and blogs). You deserve better than that.
